shadow grass

The other day, I missed getting out of the house in time to drive in and get to a yoga class. I was kind of mad about it and it was my own fault which only made me more fussy and grouchy. I decided I'd take a walk up here close to home instead. I did my own kind of visual yoga and took lots of pictures which I'll probably slowly post on here. For tonight, I want to share this photo which came about because I really wanted to capture how this grass when it opens up creates this reddish shadowy look. I have no idea what specific kind of grass this is - but in large clumps it looks like a shadow of a cloud on the ground. I never did get an adequate picture of how this grass looks when you are with it in the meadow but my own shadow fell into the frame, and it waves to you my blog visitors...........
