I'm calling it quits. I'm taking a bow and the curtain is coming down on writing this blog. A BIG THANKS goes out to all who have come by to visit.
I am very thankful for all the fellow bloggers I've met. Thank you so much for your comments over the past two years. You all inspire me and I'm planning to continue visiting your blogs and leaving comments.
As for my own blog I just keep getting the sense that I'm finished. I could keep going.......it isn't that I lack things to say or share. Since the beginning of January, I've sat with this decision. I continued to post, but that hasn't quelled the inner guidance that is saying to me "you are done with this blog." So, I'm honoring that inner voice.
I'm leaving room for the possibility I will create a new blog sometime in the future. I need some space away from writing a blog. I need to go fallow for a period to see if I truly have a heart's desire to start another one........in the meantime I feel pulled to my creative work away from the internet.
Wishing you all creative blessings and may you always follow your heart.........

1. I have a lot of ostrich eggs.

This took me all day. Okay I'd do a little, leave, and come back.............but really it is time to post......whew!

B: Top 5 places I want to see or see again:
- New Zealand
- Hawaii (this is the only place on my list that I want to see again).
- Greece
- Ireland
- Washington DC area and all the museums there.
- OK - I'm breaking the rules - but I'd love to go visit the Portland's Japanese Garden again.
C: 5 things I never pictured in my future when I was 25:
- I never pictured that I'd be living full time in such a rural environment.
- I never pictured that I'd feel as contented as I do now. I didn't say I'm finished yet but compared to myself at 25 -wow - I've calmed down.
- I never pictured having to sort through, manage, let go of, find homes for all this material stuff - a.k.a. - clutter - mine and my parent's stuff.
- I never pictured myself learning more and more creative hobbies to the point where they've piled up and I don't have enough time to devote to all of them..... I must prioritize and gasp..... let go of some.
- At age 25, I had the rug under my dreams pulled out from under me and I never pictured that at nearly the end of my thirties I would be picking up those dreams - dusting them off, reclaiming some, letting some go completely, and reconfiguring a whole new dreamaction in 2008.

Creative Collaboration
I sent a heart seed to Dawn at Wild Yarn. Just by some wonderful synchronicity I must have sent the perfect heart for her because she strung it onto a necklace. The heart seeds have holes in them to prevent them from exploding in the kiln - but they are not designed to be beads. However, that may become the next evolution of them - hmmm? - just imagining........ Dawn's necklace is lovely. You can go see it by clicking here.

I needed this article from kripalu today.
I found it via this post at Everything Yoga - you can use her link to find the same article if you like.
It was useful inspiration for me today as I feel a bit lopsided.

Sacred Life - attention
Yesterday, I used some of my time to create a schedule. It's a rather flexible organic chart that I will use and tweak over the coming weeks as I DREAM and take ACTION. I am capable of drifting endlessly 'til the end of my days if I don't begin to use my creativity to plan my time better. I recognize what a gift it is to be able to have so much freedom and I'm tired of feeling so restless and dissatisfied. Now is the time for dreamaction.
Starting with this post, I'm going to start highlighting the words create, dream, and action because I want to put my attention on these this year. What am I creating? What thoughts are spinning around and leading me to dream nightmares or dream beautiful creations? Where, how, and when am I taking action?
I added Library thing - you can see the first two books I put into it over there to the right sidebar. Mark Nepo's The Book of Awakening is a sacred book to me. I just purchased it last year in September. So now with the turn of the year I am starting the book for the first time from the beginning of the year. Every entry slows me down and opens me up to the sacred and the cherished in my life.
What slows you down to notice the sacred in your life? What infusion of attention does your schedule need?

Dreamaction
I don't normally set new years resolutions. I like the idea of them (perhaps it's the virgo in me) so I spend time thinking about them somewhat, but I don't really ever set resolutions and then inevitably break them by February.
I was thinking a theme word for this year would be now. Or maybe heart. Or maybe something more practical like focus. As I doodled this afternoon (my creative today activity) it came to me that 2008's theme is Dreamaction. Yes, one word put together. I need very much to exercise my dream muscles and take action toward my dreams. One word, one continuous process.

Today these things are on my mind:
letting go -
listening to my heart
putting my hands in clay
focusing my time - instead of just wandering
creative companion group
volunteering
learning
making friends
moving and singing
If you want some inspiration on the subject of resolutions and theme words I found this article by Christine Kane which might be a useful way to focus. I know Marilyn and Leah are also using themes and or theme words in 2008.
So leave me a comment if you have a theme word or a possibility. Or just leave a comment I like comments - smile.
and
if you would like a clay heart seed go here for more information.

I heart blogging
This is my second Blogiversary!

In honor of the occasion I'd like to send my creative heart seeds out into the world. Many of you already have one - either from the writer's spa or I've been able to send a few of you a heart already. Yet, I know there are many of you I'd still like to send a creative heart seed so if you'd like one, send me a note to:
When I started this blog two years ago it was something I'd thought about for a little while. The momentum of the new year inspired me to jump right into it finally. Within a very short time I had joined Leah - who was then known as Kat to participate in the "blogging the artist's way" Leah has a new journey to embark upon. She is encouraging blogging about Creative Every Day in 2008.
Click here to learn more about it. I've signed up. It's a low pressure challenge but one where we will have an opportunity to infuse daily creativity into our lives. You don't have to have a blog to do it either.
Anniversaries, Birthdays, January 1 seems to gravitate toward questions of where am I going and what does it all mean. I have no idea if I will keep up this blog through the next year - or if I'll start a new blog. I feel like something new is just around the next corner.........
but for now my philosophy is little by little. Right now I'm blogging on this blog. So stay tuned...
And how will you do a little bit of creativity today?
February 27, 2008 I'm deleting this email address from this post.......sorry to whomever comes along to read this and becomes confused.
